Post Session Activity
“Please start to practice using XD and get more sophisticated: try and animate some of your assets etc. Use the linkedin learning tutorials above. Try to make a basic version of your social media platform. Focus on how xd works NOT on how it LOOKS.”

Following the session, I decided to ensure my understanding by diving into the Adobe Creative Cloud: All-In-One to retrace the steps of the classroom activity. I also used some You Tube learning tools including https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C-_pr1Hzlvg&t=290s

The LinkedIn learning links on ‘Canvas’ were not available without a paid subscription – I have ‘opened a ticket’ with the app to request free student access.
I began by creating an artboard suitable for my Samsung Galaxy S24 smartphone which are as follows: 156.4mm (6.2″ full rectangle) / 152.3mm (6.0″ rounded corners) and 2340 height x 1080 width pixels. And took the following steps:
- Familiarised myself with the tools on the left of the screen.
- Created and centred an object (see green circle) on the screen which I then coloured and centred. I saved and named the file and added text. I then copied my artboard to create 2 additional copies (3 artboards in total)

- The next step was to add images to each page. I chose the logo of this blog as the home page, the logo for my proposed app as the second page and an imaginary welcome page/details for the third page.

- I wasn’t able to create a screenshot which shows the stages of adding links to the pages in Prototype mode but I was able to preview the prototype and have crerated a link so that you can have a go too: https://d.docs.live.net/B3BE38B6799F81D7/Documents/Adobe/UX%20Platform/251027%20Gratr%20v1.xd
- It works!
